For most people, psychotherapy works best meeting once weekly, for about 55 minutes. For others, meeting twice weekly, or once every two weeks works best, or for longer sessions (75 minutes). Most people resolve psychotherapy within 6 months or 24 sessions. However, each life is unique, and you may meet with your therapist for as few or as many sessions as you both feel are useful. Although most people find psychotherapy helpful, it cannot be predicted if what you find will be what you expected.
